Possibly the most laid-back and happy (see pics, so many smiles and giggles!) couple you could meet. Nicola & Jonathan got married on the 23rd September 2017 at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield – having been here only weeks beforehand I was delighted to be returning.
My day started at St Paul’s Mecure Hotel Sheffield, where Nicola and her many bridesmaids were getting ready. I was also able to pop downstairs to see all the hard work that had gone into decking out the reception room. After a stint with the girls I headed to the theatre and found Jonathan and his best men greeting guests in the bar & awaiting the arrival of the bride. The ceremony had so much giggling and happy tears – I loved capturing all these little moments and the guests watching on.
After the ceremony Nicola, Jonathan and I headed over to the neighbouring Lyceum Theatre – as always I was blown away by the beauty and grandeur of this place and enjoyed creating the moody pictures of the two of them. Then back to the guests for group shots and confetti before heading back over to St Pauls. Once here guests were able to play on all the amazing arcade games that Nicola’s dad owns – just brilliant – in fact the guests were pretty reluctant to go into the wedding breakfast as they were having so much fun! Speeches concluded the wedding breakfast and we headed into the winter gardens just as the light was beginning to fade. Then onto the sparkler action as guests lined the steps.
I also worked with videographer Eric from Bigger Boat Film on this day who was great to work with, & I’m sure captured this day beautifully.
