Jessica + Andrew

I first met Jess & Andrew at the I Do wedding Fair and then shortly after in a local pub -  I do love meetings in pubs :) I liked Jess a lot from the off, firstly she is a fellow Mancunian (ok, ok, I know I originate from Bolton, but that is Greater Manchester!!) & Andrew was really chilled despite having his arm in a cast at the time having sustained a cricket injury.

The wedding took place on the 31st March – on a lovely spring day – I’m kidding obviously, it was absolutely freezing but at least we avoided the snow that made a reoccurrence days after!

I joined Jess and her girls at her house getting ready – it was definitely a hive of activity! I also managed to pop over to see Andrew getting ready at his parents house.

I then headed to Hodsock Priory, the location for the wedding where I found the excited groomsmen and guests awaiting the arrival of the bridal party.

The service was lovely, emotional, and cheery in equal measures. I had a feeling Andrew may get a little emotional and I wasn’t wrong, it was no wonder though, Jess looked amazing.

After the service we did some group shots in the lovely grounds -  as mentioned it was blooming cold! I’m pleased I encouraged Jess to have some pics outside though because it is so beautiful here.

Afterwards the reception was at Andrews’ beloved Blyth Cricket Club. The Club has recently been renovated and when I had seen it previously it had a very suspect roof! On this day however it looked incredible and the marquee was decked out so amazingly colourful it definitely cheered up the dreary weather. There were pineapples as centre-peices, chicks as favours, bright bunting and an incredible cake complete with iced Birds of Paradise by the brilliant Angela of Snowdrop Cakery.

I don’t think I’ve ever photographed so many happy, smiley faces – see pics! If this isn’t testament to a great wedding then I don’t know what is!! x
