Emily & Stuart got married on the 23rd June 2018. I joined Emily at her Mum’s house in the morning and was greeted by the hive of activity with all the girls getting ready. What a brilliant host Viv, Emily’s Mum is, I felt immediately very welcome and I knew that this was going to be such a perfect day! There was a lot of lovely emotional moments as Emily got ready and into that stunning gown – I love the shots of both Emily’s bridesmaids and her Dad barely able to contain themselves once she was ready. It was a beautiful day so we went outside to take some shots in the garden before I headed to the nearby Braithwell Church.
Once at the church I quickly found Stuart and his groomsmen eagerly anticipating the arrival of the bride. A lovely service ensued and it was so evident how happy this twosome are. We headed out into the sunshine for lots more natural shots and some group shots and confetti before Emily & Stuart got into their lovely (surprise, thanks to Dad) vintage car!
Their reception venue was The Ruddle Centre in Braithwell, a community centre which until this day was a complete blank canvas and thanks to a lot of hard work had been totally transformed into the beautiful elegant setting in the pictures.
We took some group photos outside while guests enjoyed drinks and the kids enjoyed games. I also managed to whisk the happy couple into a nearby cornfield for some pics.
The wedding breakfast and speeches followed – these were both heartfelt and enlightening and guests were definitely entertained!!
The whole day had a lovely relaxed feel to it, with everybody there definitely enjoying themselves, but what was most clear to me was just how happy these two really are and without a shadow of a doubt have such an exciting happy future ahead of them xx
