Connie + Ryan

I was really looking forward to this wedding on the 5th July 2014 for more than one reason. Firstly the inspiration behind the theme was the 1950′s so I was looking forward to seeing Connie and her girls in their 50′s style dresses – these did not disappoint and as Connie had wanted included both colour and pattern – the girls had picked their own colour dresses. I was also excited to be photographing my first Kelham Island Museum wedding. This as I expected turned out to be a really interesting and quirky venue to get married in and I loved using the different and unusual backdrops in the photo’s. The day started with the girls getting ready at St Paul’s Mecure Hotel in Sheffield city centre. The day’s transport was a vintage Volkswagen from VintageVolksWeddings – the perfect accompaniment to the day’s style (and as Connie pointed out plenty roomy for those dresses!) The whole day had a lovely relaxed and informal atmosphere with Little Mesters next door to the museum being the afternoon setting with a barbecue for the guests to enjoy. What a lovely, lovely colurful wedding :) x
