Rachel + Luke

Rachel + Luke got married on the 14th July 2018. Like most of the couples I have the pleasure of photographing, this pair are really laid-back and happy… refer to pics!!

The day started at Rachel’s parents house where hair and make-up were in full swing. I always enjoy seeing the dress and all the wedding apparel for the first time, and was delighted to see the Jimmy Choo shoes, what is not to love about a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, and did I mention they had feathery pom-poms!!

After all the excitement of the bridal preparations and the grand reveal to Dad I headed over to Ecclesfield Church. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph at this church several times over the years, it’s really beautiful inside and the light is always gorgeous.

Rachel arrived and was greeted by the cutest 3 flower girls, ready to walk down the aisle. The service was filled with love and a lot of laughter – Rachel is one of the most giggliest brides I have had the pleasure of photographing and for this I love her dearly! I think she gets it from her lovely parents as I saw them giggling throughout the service too ;)

Onto the wedding ceremony afterwards which was Firth Court – part of Sheffield University – where Rachel graduated from and has previously graced that gorgeous entranceway. The room in which the wedding breakfast was served looked incredible and guests enjoyed a delicious meal and entertaining speeches.

The evening continued in the same laid-back fashion it started in, most couple’s I meet tell me they just want everybody to have a good time, I’m pretty sure this is what these guys would have wished for, and I think the pictures prove they did! Lot of love to both of you xx

Harriott + Karl

Harriott + Karl got married on the 7th July 2018. It was a beautiful wedding to photograph and full of energy, this was evident from the moment I arrived at Harriott’s parents house! There was lots of lovely things going on and it was clear that there were 3 little stars of the show :) It was a glorious day weather-wise and I love the pictures of Harriott getting daughter Daisy dressed in the garden.

The wedding ceremony took place at Totley All Saints Church. Harriott was fashionably late and kept Karl waiting at the altar. Once there though proud Dad Nathan walked her down that aisle to meet him and a beautiful ceremony ensued. Afterwards we headed back into the sunshine for confetti throwing before Karl drove Harriott off (with Nathan quick to remind him to avoid the pot-holes!!).

It was my first wedding at Woodthorpe Hall and what a treat I was in for. Its a 17th Century privately owned house on the edge of the stunning Peak District in North Derbyshire. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and I cannot praise mother-of-the-bride Rebecca enough for her amazing skills at decking the place out to make it even more beautiful. There was a lot to entertain the guests and of course I have to mention that England were playing Sweden in the World Cup – I’m sure most of you know that we won 2 nil that day and I have to say the atmosphere at the wedding was really electric, football lover or not it didn’t really matter that this wasnt the final as it really felt that we had won that day!! Everybody was super happy anyway and this just added to it (I’ll gloss over the fact that Karl probably missed the goals on my part!)

In the evening we were blessed with a beautiful sunset and the field behind the house is just the perfect setting.

The day throughout as I say was vibrant, entertaining and full of love. One of the most apparent things I’ll take away from this wedding is the love and importance of family to these lot. An exciting future ahead for this gorgeous family xx
