The 26th July 2018 saw me travelling up to the beautiful city of Durham and the 13th-century medieval Crook Hall. The gardens here are absolutely stunning and I had no doubt we’d be able to find lots of glorious spots for photographs.
I joined Annmarie, her Mum and her bridesmaids getting ready in one of the apartments. The atmosphere was very chilled and everybody seemed very excited about the day ahead. We were also joined by Jon from Top Table Films who was the videographer for the day and was a pleasure to work with.
Meanwhile Peter was busy getting ready with his Dad – who was also his Best Man – this was a lovely touch and I’m sure Peter could not have chosen a better candidate for the job.
There was a lot of lovely emotion on this day, in particular when Annmarie’s Dad first saw her in that gorgeous gown.
The ceremony took place in one of the oldest parts of the building, it was so beautifully intimate and such a romantic setting.
After the ceremony we headed outside into the glorious sunny gardens – in fact we did have to do a bit of shade-seeking it was VERY hot this day – not that we’re complaining!!
A highlight for me was when Tilly (their beloved dog) arrived, she was so pleased to be part of the wedding party and did not stop smiling!!
The speeches, the Mr & Mrs game, the cake-cut and the first dance all happened outside, how often does this happen in this country?! What a summer 2018 was and what a wedding this was! The happiness between these two radiates in every picture I took, and it was a joy to photograph it x
