Tina & Simon got married on the 4th August 2018. I’d met Simon years previous at the wedding of Kerry & Stuart when Simon was Best Man, Stuart was of course re-paying the favour on this day.
The wedding took place in Scarborough at Ox Pasture Hall Hotel. Tina & Simon don’t originate from Scarborough so I was intrigued as to why this lovely seaside town was their chosen location, the answer was of course was that this hotel was particularly dog-friendly and as you can see from the pics dogs in particular Marley & Sammy played a huge role in this day! In fact friends and family were encouraged to bring them along on the day and as far as a I know only one jumped into the pond during the day
I arrived in the morning to meet everybody including the dogs who were looking very dapper in their bow-ties. Tina meanwhile was getting ready with her bridesmaids and everybody seemed very chilled about the day ahead. Simon seeemd to be keeping himself busy attaching GoPros to every possible surface including planting a sneaky one in Tina’s bouquet to capture Simon as she walked down that gorgeous outside aisle. The dogs of course made the first entrance down the aisle and what good dogs they were!
The ceremony was lovely and filled with equal measures of giggling and happy tears. It was such a lovely setting and all the guests and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was also a gloriously sunny day and we were able to enjoy all the lovely gardens and of course have a good stroll around with the dogs.
There was definitely a nod to Disney at this wedding, check out those shoes and the Disney ears! I seem to be attracting dog-loving Disney fans this year and I kinda’ like it!!!
Such a perfectly suited and laid-back couple and along with their two fur babies I cannot wish them anymore love and happiness for the future xx
Jess & Jim got married on the 28th July 2018. I’d met up with them both over the Summer for our pre-wedding shoot in the Botanical Gardens – two things I learnt at this shoot, what a gorgeous couple they are to photograph and how they both totally don’t realise it!
The wedding was to take place over in Nottinghamshire. I met up with all the wedding party prior to the ceremony at Croxton Lodge where everybody was getting ready. The setting was absolutely stunning and everybody was enjoying the getting ready part of the day (especially the groomsmen, see pics!).
The actual wedding ceremony took place at Newark Registry Office – my first time photographing here & such a beautiful building. The service was so special and personal & when Jess revealed for the first time that she would take Jim’s name, the emotions in the room were palpable.
Afterwards we spent time amidst the ruins in the grounds outside the Registry Office taking some groups photo’s and spending some time to get some pics with just the two of them. We were very lucky that the rain only started just as we leaving to go to the reception venue, Allington Village Hall. Once there people made a bit of a dash inside for drinks and afternoon tea in the amazingly decorated Village Hall – This was largely thanks to Jess & her Mum and their very talented and creative skills – everything look perfect.
Joining us on the day was Lou, a videographer – it was lovely working with her on the day, and as it was pouring down with rain & while the guests were eating, we were scheming about getting Jess & Jim back outside for some more pics…. It was of course still raining after the food but we persuaded them to go out anyway and with the aid of some brollies we got some lovely shots.
Dancing followed and I’m sure the partying continued well into the night. This pair are much more than just a cool (or quirky as the registrar described them) couple, they are the perfect match xx
