The 4th September 2017 was the wedding day of Katie & Joel, and what a very beautiful wedding day it was. The venue was East Riddlesden Hall, a 17th century manor house in Keighley, West Yorkshire. I joined Katie and her Mum Julie & bridemaids getting ready in the gorgeous home of Lynne – a close friend of Julie. What a stunning place to get ready, and I really loved that staircase!
I joined Joel and the guests eagerly anticipating the arrival of the bride. The barn looked amazing and had been incredibly decked out. When Katie arrived, her proud Dad walked her down the aisle. There was a lot of laughing, smiling and more giggling during this service – the vibe was definitely a happy one – these two were definitely ready to tie-the-knot!
After the service people gathered outside for confetti throwing, drinking and Canapes eating. We also did some group photos by the lake. Then onto some couple shots with the happy twosome – these were pretty laid-back and I think I captured their lovable nature.
The wedding breakfast followed – the barn was such an atmospheric setting for the meal and speeches.
After the meal guests headed outside again before the partying started! I think the pictures show the party atmosphere well! But what was very clear on this day and hopefully reflected in the images was how happy everybody was – many people had travelled wide and far – family & friends and being together celebrating this happy occasion was at the very heart of this lovely day x
Paige & Paul got married on the 2nd September 2017 at Cusworth Hall in Doncaster- my first time here – what a beautiful building and great setting for a wedding. I joined Paige and her bridesmaids before the ceremony in their hotel to capture the bridal preparations. I think Paige has to be one of my most laid-back brides-to-be so far this year. She was totally un-phased by the fact she was getting married and totally chilled as she applied her make-up – Paige is a make-up artist so obviously she was going to do her own and it looked fabulous.
After the bridal preps I headed over to Cusworth to captured the tartan-clad groomsmen looking very dapper. Paige arrived shortly afterwards, being piped into the grounds no less! It was a beautiful service and there was more than one or two tears shed. Afterwards people gathered outside on the steps to shroud them in confetti before taking the group shots. You may just spot the random dog amongst the pics below (Paige is a big dog fan, as am I!) we were told by the owner that the said random dog was friendly but the barks coming from it persuaded us otherwise, so no photo of the happy couple with it, hahah!
Afterwards we headed over to the marquee where guests were gathering in preparation for the wedding breakfast. I particularly enjoyed Paul’s poetic speech – I think it’s the best groom’s speech I’ve heard to date – and believe me I’ve heard quite a few! The evening continued with dancing, drinking and frivolity – A great day was had be all, including me! x
