Helen + Ian

When I first met Helen & Ian at a Vintage wedding fair and heard of their wedding plans, I knew it would be right up my street ;) A 1930′s themed wedding in the gorgeous Lantern Theatre in Sheffield you say, what is not to love?! The wedding date was the 24th October 2015 and I started the day photographing Helen with her 2 bridesmaids and parents at her house getting ready. Shortly after I got there the flowers arrived from the very talented and always brilliant Tracey of Campbells Flowers, the colours were just gorgeous :) After a stint at the house I headed to the Theatre – I love it here, it’s just so cosy and intimate and a really unusual setting for a wedding which I love. The Humanist ceremony was carried out by Kate Gee who I’d met on my wedding travels previously  – it was the perfectly pitched service and the singing and audience participation really added to the whole vibe. What the audience didn’t know at this stage was that the New York Brass Band were waiting in the wings to join the couple on stage and get the partying well and truly started – which they did with gusto! They then played during the drinks reception and even continued the partying on the vintage bus headed for the Beauchief Hotel. The day continued with speeches, fireworks (well sparklers!) and dancing. A great, great day from start to finish :) x

Hollie + Rob

Hollie & Rob got married on the 17th October 2015. The wedding venue was Cubley Hall in Penistone. I joined the wedding party there with the groomsmen busying themselves with pre-wedding things for example watching Wednesday playing on the telly in the bar – very crucial preparation ;) Hollie arrived shortly after looking gorgeous and was greeted by her bridesmaids, all set to go. The wedding ceremony was an emotional but lovely service with a few happy tears shed :) Afterwards we braved a cold October wind to get some group shots by the bandstand, it was definitely worth it! The day continued with the wedding breakfast, speeches and the first dance and lots of daft hat wearing and prop brandishing in the photo-booth ;) x
