Holly & James tied the knot on the 26th September 2015. The venue was the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield – a great light space for a wedding. It was a little different to a usual wedding with the actual main part of the ceremony being in the Humanist form – delivered beautifully by Kate Gee the celebrant – the focus therefore was all about Holly & James and them as a couple The service involved singing and music and there was a real relaxed vibe right from the off. The service was followed by drinks and canapes before the couple and a handful of close friends and family headed back into the ceremony room for the official legalities of the wedding to proceed. We then headed back out for some pics. The three of us briefly popped into the Winter Gardens for some photos – Holly & James then literally found themselves locked out of their own wedding when we discovered that the doors back into the museum had been locked – ooops! After a few phone calls we did rejoin the party – and I’m really pleased we did! I was welcomed to join everyone and was sat on a table with some of their good friends – it really was one of those days when I forgot I was working Many congrats to you both!
Laura & Ben got married on the 19th September 2015. I started the day at Laura’s house where she was getting ready with her parents and bridesmaids. There was a real sense of calm here and Laura didn’t seem at all daunted about the day ahead. In fact Laura did not stop grinning all day long – proper grinning too, she had warned me that if I spotted her ‘fake’ work smile (Laura spends her days flying all over the world as a flight attendant) to let her know! After my time at the house I went off to All Saints Church in Laughton-en-le-Morthen, here Ben was busy greeting guests and waiting for the arrival of Laura. It’s a gorgeous church and a beautiful ceremony was followed by some photos outside & some confetti throwing before the happy pair set off for the journey to Kenwood Hall. Just a quick mention that this happened to be the day that thousands of students were headed for Sheffield for the start of the new academic year… it took people quite awhile to travel the short journey. It didn’t matter a jot though and was well worth the wait for the guests to enjoy the lovely setting and wedding breakfast. Many congrats to you both xx
